Chunky Fish Soup w Green-Lipped Mussels

When I lived in London, green lipped mussels were expensive, so an absolute treat. Now I live here, they’re as cheap as chips and I just can’t get enough of them.  This soup is my personal homage to this emerald jewel of the ocean.  Although simple, it’s quite hefty on the ingredients, but all are necessary.  Think about making a batch to cook and freeze.

Celeriac Soup with Garlic and Thyme Oil

This recipe is simple and beautiful. It just goes to show you don’t need a pantry full of ingredients to create something sumptuous, creamy, seasonal and delicious. Celeriac season for me is a divine gift from god, the fact the season is quite short, make it even more of a reason to celebrate.

Soup

Summer Tomato Soup & Fried Basil Chips

This is the epitome of Italian dishes (locally known as Pappa al Pomodoro) and one of my favourite, favourite soup recipes.  Actually calling it a soup is like calling the Queen ‘a lady with a handbag!’  When it’s made slowly, with love this dish has enough magic to make you believe in the simplicity and majesty of Mother Nature’s bountiful pantry! Also, 12 million Italians can’t be wrong.  An opera in a bowl……..

Soup

Spicy Jerk Pumpkin & Bacon Soup

Thick, wholesome and a delicious take on the traditional, with a nice kick at the end to keep the winter chills at bay. Be economical, buy a whole pumpkin, make a big batch so on those cold winter nights, all you have to do is defrost, heat and enjoy, with a wedge of buttered bread. GET IT IN YA!!!
